As the world continues to fight the coronavirus (covid-19), we know that many people are feeling new and often frightening emotions. News media is in overdrive and so many of our beloved family members are overseas. But you are not alone!
Sickness is a part of the fallen world. Keeping a sharp mind and not panicking is important, now more than ever. We have a God that has promised us though to be “an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm. 46:1). Trusting the Lord right now is vital.
ID church is closely following the recommendations of both our local and national governments. We too see the risk it poses to the vulnerable and the extreme pressure that our healthcare system is now under. We do not want to add to it.
A number of our church family are already self isolating, some are ill and many have returned to their home countries. With all this in mind, we have prayerfully taken the decision to suspend our regular Sunday church services to limit the possible spread of the disease. At this time, all our church family members should be practicing social-distancing for the sake of the most vulnerable in society.
Furthermore, we are excited to announce ID church Online – teaching, discussion and worship for you to enjoy at home! If you would like to get further information, contact the church office here.
Friends, now is the time for us all to pray and cry out to God! Pray for your family, the church and for the nations because we do not have a spirit of fear but of power.
If you have any questions, please text the church office or message us here.
